SOOOOO tired
Good morning, I am so freaking tired after this weekend! Like a lot of other people I spent the weekend at the Talladega Speedway. But I wasn't there to have fun I was working with CAG. I spent the last 4 days trying to make sense out of a lot of drunk people. I'm sunburned and running off of very little sleep. But, on the other hand I did get to hang out with my buddies from CAG. We goofed off and hung out all weekend.
On the other hand, this weekend I realized that I really do have the MOST WONDERFUL husband! If you know anything about racing you know that most people don't come to the race for the race, They come for the party. Well, me being me, I like to party too. Friday morning as we were checking in RV's I flashed a group of guys who then gave me some beads. I of course tell Richard and he is completely OK with it. It just proves that we have a very open and trusting relationship. Some people think it's weird that Richard and I don't try to control one another or get mad when one of us flirts with someone else. But, I don't think you can have a happy marriage if you are constantly worried about what the other person will think. I don't care if Richard flirts with other women and he doesn't care if I flirt with men or women. Our motto is " you can look but don't touch". At the end of the day we both know that we are going home with each other and that we love each other.
Anywho, that's what happened this weekend. Below are some pics of CAG goofing around.

Joe and I standing around waiting for more cars.

Joe and I 10 seconds later pretending to make out. Photo taken by Richard.

Michael works harder than all of us during Race weekend. Here he is taking a much deserved break.

Richard leaning against a trash can.

This is my good buddy Nathan. He came all the way from North Carolina to be here this weekend. We haven't seen a lot of him since he started School up there. But he'll be moving back after he graduates. We all miss him.

Good Morning
Good morning everyone. It's another pretty AL morning. The stage is set for another day. The lead chracter has her coffee and cigarette in hand, Katy is having her breakfast, and the cat is licking the dogs head. Richard of course has gone to work before we got up.
Today is going to be another typical day. I have to cleand and play/take care of Katy. I also have to go get the oil changed in the truck.
It's only Tuesday and I'm already looking to this weekend and next weekend. This weekend is the Talladega Nascar Race. I'll be working 3 days this year while Richard will only be working 2. Since he started working at the radio station his weekends have been pretty full. I always like working the race. Altho the past year or 2 having to get up at 3:30AM has gotten old. It's fun once you get there and start working. You see alot of very interesting people. Everyone from Dale Earnhart and his pit crew to the guy bringing his son to his first race down to the chicks who are just there for the party. Granted, I have enjoyed this particular party on more than one occasion. So, that's where I'll be this weekend. What I'm really excited about is TAG.
I've already told you what TAG is, but I still want you to know more. This will be my 6th TAG and the 3rd with Richard. When I started going to TAG I was in high school and I went WILD evry year. TAG is one of the few events that are left that you can go and feel free. You meet new people all the time, but everyone seems like an old friend. You are all there for the same reason. The love of caves and caving. You could spend hours walking down vendors row and talking to the people you meet. The same could be said of lounging in the hot tub. It's a freeing and wonderful experience, sitting next to someone completly naked and knowing that they are talking to you for YOU and not because of how you look. I love saturday night of TAG the most. Getting buzzed and Walking and Talking going from camp to camp sharing stories spreading news and inviting people back to camp. Everyone is so hospitable sharing food, drink, and anything else. It's my favourite time of the year and I'm sure this won't be the last time I post about it/
Anywho, that's what's going on this morning. Below is a pic of me at TAG.

TAG is Coming!!!!
TAG my favorite time of year is coming soon! It's only 3 weeks away!
TAG, for those of you who don't know, stands for Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia. The event named TAG is sponsored by the Dogwood City Grotto (DCG) of the NSS. Every year in October the DCG hosts 1500 +/- people at TAG. For 3 day it's nothing but caving, partying, and good friends being together having a good time.
The reasons TAG is my favorite time of year are many. It's just turning fall and the colors and weather are always amazing. The sauna and hot tub are always wonderful after a day of caving or volunteering to clean-up one of our great caves. The friends who you don't see that often but always love being with. The FUN you have at the bonfire, pussy eating contset, ramen noodle wrestling, wearing costumes saturday night, or just walking and talking meeting new friends and renewing old contacts. The booze the smoke and the good food. These are all things I love about TAG.
This year is going to be even better. It's the seond year at the new TAG location and things just keep getting better. The DCG has been working hard all year to make improvments and iron out any problams from last year. The camping spots should be good with new spots being created and old spots being improved on. This year CAG will be having it's BIG meetimg and elections on friday. I will also be cooking on friday. I can't wait! Three weeks and counting.
Below is a pic of the pussy eating contest. just so you don't get the wrong idea about this stuff.

Welcome to My Show
Welcome to My Show. Actually, this Blog will be about my life, but i prefer to think of it as a Show. I suppose that comes from my love of the Stage, but I'll save that for latter.
There are three main players in My Show. First we have me, Magz. I am a wife and mother, a caver, a camper, a singer, a music theater nut, and generaly a laid back accepting person.
The second player is my wonderful and loving, husband Richard. Richard is a part time radio DJ on AM channell 1430 WFHK in Pell City, AL and a Bender at a local shop. He is also a caver and camper. We enjoy getting out in the woods together away from all the responsibilites of home. He is truly a great man, and I love him very much. I couldn't imagine sharing my life with anyone else. Richard and I met in Montevallo three years ago we eventually became best friends and after several months fell in love. We got married in December of 2003 and in January of 2004 we were thrilled to learn that I was pregnant.
Which introduces our third main player. Kathryn Elizabeth, better known as Katy. Katy just celebrated her first birthday. And (forgive me for bragging) is the most beautiful child ever.
Lesser chracters include our dog Bodger, who might as well be a mian player. He goes everywhere possible with us. He loves camping and playing fetch with Katy. Also, members of our family and Grotto (our extended family).
That's about what this Blog will be like. You can expect posts about my family (including our dog) caving and camping trips, rantings and ravings about various things, and anything else that's going on.
Below is a pic of my husband and daughter.
Have Fun,
Magz
